About Peter Sanderson

Residing on Queensland’s Gold Coast with his wife Sandy and two children Michaela (10) and Heidi (8), Peter works as a commercial photographer for This Month Local Area Magazines, a business he and Sandy started in 1998. He is highly sought after for brochure and advertising photography, and specialises in food, cosmetics, artwork and jewellery, as well as modelling portfolios.

Originally trained in Applied Science, Peter came to the Gold Coast from Adelaide and Sydney in the 1980’s to launch into a career change and embrace his beloved photography - a passion he had held since boyhood. He worked as a salesman while his photography business developed and picked up in the 1990’s. Having years of personal selling experience has enhanced Peter's ability to take images that 'sell'. Add to the mix Peter’s technical background and an artistic eye, and you can see why he has become one of the finest photographers on the Gold Coast.

With the turn of the millennium came the digital photography phenomenon, catapulting Peter to the height of his profession. The advent of high quality digital technology has meant a revolution in the photography world. However, many photographers were unwilling to leave traditional film behind. Not so Peter Sanderson. He took to this new technology like a duck to water and started to experiment with new techniques and special effects, evolving over time a unique signature style and branding of his own. Due to the high volume photography the magazine business provided he was able to hone his skills and develop the art of digital photography to its highest level. However, Peter is never content to rest on his laurels and is driven by his scientific and artistic mind to explore infinite possibilities and ever higher mountains.
